6 classes: November 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th, Dec 3rd, and 10th
SKETCH LEVEL 2 – SKETCH WRITING INCUBATOR (4 WEEKS)*
Prerequisite: Level 1 Sketch Writing Intensive or Equivalent.
This class is for sketch writers who want to continue to develop their own comedic voice and take their sketch ideas & writing to the next level.
Building on the Level 1 Sketch Writing Intensive course, the level 2 – Sketch Writing Incubator will help budding comedy writers to craft, fine-tune and polish their own sketches in preparation for stage or screen and give them the experience of what it’s like to write for a sketch comedy show or group.
Over the course of four weeks, students will brainstorm & generate new ideas together in a working writer’s room environment, as well as, play with plot reveal, learn tricks to develop truly memorable characters and explore adding rhythm and tone to their writing to make it truly stand out.
Writers will be given in-depth feedback on their material, be given weekly writing deadlines and should expect to finish the class with some original sketches ready for stage or screen.
