In this class, students will workshop jokes-in-progress as well as their A-game material for in-depth feedback on how to tweak and package it for consideration by comedy clubs, festivals, comedy competitions, and professional showcases.

With additional focus on honing skills like hosting, crowd work, and riffing, students will also get two separate opportunities to test these new skills with a live audience and receive feedback from the crowd.

Apart from working on heir material, students will also receive resources and guidance on marketing themselves, making contacts with club bookers, and self-management.

Adam created a really welcoming and supportive environment to learn Stand-Up Comedy. He’s encouraging and his notes always helped improve jokes as beginner comedians compose their first 5 minutes.

As a person who has been putting off getting on stage for years, not setting myself any sort of deadline and thinking that my first five minutes will eventually be ready on their own someday, this class was a kick in the pants in the right direction. By having a set date to do a show, and by having the class a relatively quick 4-week turn around, it really made me buckle down and focus. In the end I had one of the best times in my life making people laugh on stage.

I highly recommend this class to anyone who is interested in trying standup and would like to learn from someone who really knows what they’re talking about.
